Monasteries, history and vineyards

Moldova: a small country with great charm

Moldova was a destination for us that we knew little about beforehand. It’s about a seven-hour drive from Bucharest, and we were wondering if it would be worth it. However, during our long road trip we had enough time, and since we were ‘nearby’, we decided to take a look. Moldova turned out to be a country full of green landscapes, charming villages and friendly people. It felt as if we discovered a quiet and authentic part of Europe, where life is still going at a relaxed pace.
